Marilena really helps me with intonation and getting the notes sung right. I’ve been with many other coaches in the past but nothing seemed to help and I almost gave up. Marilena’s “out of the box” method helps me visualise the notes and monitor my pitch in real time. When I used to sing off before, I wasn’t aware of it as my previous teachers sugarcoated this and made it look minor. In the first lesson, Marilena was completely honest with me and told me for the first time that I was singing “off” and that we needed to work on that. She made me aware of this, and made me aware every time I was going off pitch. When I started clocking that more consistently, we then worked on making me aware if I’m singing flat or sharp. Now I’m better at monitoring myself, as well as correcting myself. We also experimented with vowel shapes and figured out that some vowel shapes helped me stay in tune more than others. Really insightful stuff! At the same time, I don’t think I would be patient enough to deal with me if I was Marilena. Therefore I really appreciate Marilena’s help and patience, she rocks!

I have seen Marilena through social media singing, meanwhile I also wanted to try some singing sessions with someone on my days off work, so i decided to give it a go and booked a session with her. I'm really satisfied with my decision so far. Marilena is doing level best in terms of teaching and is making a big difference to me!

Its amazing really how much of a big difference it makes when someone with a strong background in music and also experienced with teaching can have on you! When i started singing i had too much ego to hire another person to teach me (since i've been gigging as a self-taught singer & guitarist for 3 years). As time went by though, i noticed quite a difference! It shows when a professional is there to listen to your voice and give you feedback on how to fine tune it! I had doubts at first but changed my mind within the first month. I recommend Marilena not only to novices but to the more advanced and experienced singers as she can always help out!

Marilena's professionalism sets her apart from the majority of tutors as long as my experience goes. I have had a lot of setbacks with many people in the music field so im really glad i have found the one who suits me the most. I learned a lot from Marilena and gained the knowledge to improve on myself when i am alone. Having said that though, i really much prefer having lessons with her than just working by myself

I must say Marilena is an incredible teacher and individual! She has some serious work ethic that resolves around her passion for singing and performance. I came to her completly clueless about music and what is suppost to be done to improve my vocals. After a few sessions i really started to notice a big difference on my voice! Marilena's great! She has a warm and empathetic approach to teaching, which really helps me bring out my best self. I'm not thinking about my insecurities or self-doubt myself when we have our lessons together. I'm not very confident singing in front of people, but I feel comfortable with Marilena and I'm not self-critical in our lessons, which is great, cause for the longest time I couldn't sing to anybody without feeling nervous or self-critical. So I feel like I'm making a lot of progress with feeling more comfortable singing around people, building confidence, and embracing my singing voice. Couldn't recommend more.
