About Stuart
Hi! My name's Stuart, and I've been gigging piano for over 15 years! I love teaching, and my real passion is showing adult players, whether you're a total beginner or have been playing for years, how much you can learn QUICKLY! Piano is, in my humble opinion, the perfect instrument to learn about how music works, and to make the most beautiful sounds the first time you sit down. My availability is down to just 1 day a week at the moment so reach out and I'll try hard to find you a time that works :)

Piano lessons for adult beginners to advanced players!
Warning: I am NOT the kind of teacher to force you into a bunch of boring book work/predetermined learning path.
I really, REALLY care about creating the perfect space for you to fall as in love with piano as I am, so we'll be doing a lot of playing songs and pieces that you love, levelling up each week, and learning the best ways to get the most beautiful sounds we can.
My music theory knowledge goes deep, and it's something we'll dip into as we need it, and as it interests you. For some, that's a lot, and for others it's the bare minimum, that's totally fine! Theory and technique are tools, the point of which is to get you playing beautiful music. If we can get straight to the beautiful music, we always will!
Styles: Pop, Rock, Reggae, Soul, R'n'B, Jazz, Classical
Prices: $50/30 minutes, $100/hour. Which one is right for you is normally clear after our free trial lesson, so reach out and we'll find a time :)

I know Stuart through music university. He was always the man you called for when you needed a keyboard or piano player on your song, or the guy in theory class that always knew the answers. Stuart has all this knowledge and now he's sharing it with anyone who wants to learn. He can convey a concept in a way an 8 year old and an 80 year old can understand it. If you've just started playing or you've been playing for years, you'll leave a far better musician than before. Couldn't recommend him enough.
It's great to work with a teacher that very clearly understands their clients. I'm someone who considers myself 'extremely busy' and to work with a teacher that can make a massive impact in 60 minutes and tailor a practice program to fit into my busy schedule has been incredible! Thanks Stuart!
Stu is makes learning piano so enjoyable. He is very knowledgeable and patient which are honestly the best qualities for a teacher to have. I always look forward to my lessons and 10/10 would recommend!!

He helped me through the daunting process of learning music theory, and gave me the tools to express my creativity through piano in just a few months.
