About Daisy
Hi! My name is Daisy and for the past 4 years, I've been on a mission to help students get their grades up to 6s and 7s in IB Maths AA/AI SL/HL, Chemistry SL/HL, and Biology SL/HL so that they can get into their dream university and degree, just like I did!
Professionally, I work on the mathematical modelling of pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics of drugs through the Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science Advanced (Honours) at Monash University (where I was awarded the Sir John Monash Scholarship for Excellence) - so you could say I've definitely put my IB knowledge to great use.
Additionally, volunteering and extracurriculars have always been great interests of mine, and I believe education works best when integrated with each student's own specific set of skills and interests outside of school. This is why I always strive to stay up to date with the latest scientific advances and cultural movements so that I can share and discuss this knowledge with my students. More often than not, this not only helps make the lessons more interesting but also allows the student to improve their pattern recognition, problem solving and critical thinking skills - which are all very important things to master in this era of huge AI growth!

When it comes to teaching and learning, I believe practice is the most important factor that can help students take their grades to another level. Study with me, and you’ll get a lot of chances to practice with past papers, ask for clarifications, and get immediate explanations to those questions. In fact, the more questions you come to me with the better as that will allow us to tackle your weaker points while also training your critical thinking skills!
Overall, I am a very passionate tutor, and I will try my best to help you understand the subject content, even if it takes us a bit more time to resolve any confusions or misunderstandings. Additionally, knowledge is always best learnt in context, so share with me your interests and aspirations and I will integrate related pieces of info into the lessons to help you learn and remember things better!
