About Joe
I am a dedicated fitness professional and freelance photographer with a diverse background. Beyond my MSc degree and 10 years of personal training, I am passionate about storytelling through my lens.
My photography portfolio includes everything from weddings to volunteering as a photographer for CNIB Guide Dogs, which has taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and capturing the right moment. I bring this same level of care and precision to my clients, helping them build confidence both in the gym and in front of the camera.

My Teaching Methodology & Philosophy
I believe in a "function-first" approach to fitness. Utilizing the NASM Optimum Performance Training (OPT) model, my coaching progresses systematically from stabilization and endurance to strength and power.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Each session is a 60-90 minute journey tailored to your specific goals:
Assessment & Warm-up: We start with a movement screen to identify any postural imbalances (especially helpful for WFH professionals).
Core & Balance: Strengthening your foundation before moving to heavy loads.
Resistance Training: Targeted exercises based on your custom program.
Nutrition Integration: As a Certified Nutrition Coach, I provide actionable advice on macronutrients and fueling to complement your hard work in the gym.
What Sets Me Apart: The "Media Edge"
I am not just your trainer; I am your visual documentarian. As a professional wedding and portrait photographer, I use my full-frame cameras & lens to capture your transformation.
Form Analysis: We use 4K slow-motion video for precise posture correction.
Professional Portraits: Periodically, we conduct professional "Workout Portrait Sessions" using my professional portrait lenses to celebrate your progress with gallery-quality imagery.
Trilingual Communication
To ensure the most comfortable and clear learning environment, I offer coaching in English, Cantonese or Mandarin.
