About Lily
I am a Piano tutor with more than 10 years of teaching experience and have successfully taught over 780 students. My passion is helping learners discover their musical potential while developing confidence, creativity, discipline, and artistic expression.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have worked with beginners, advanced performers, examination candidates, competition participants, and students pursuing music for personal enjoyment. This experience enables me to create highly personalized lessons that support different goals and learning styles.
I believe music education should balance technical precision with artistic creativity. Students should learn how to perform accurately while also developing the ability to communicate emotion, meaning, and expression through music.
Many students have successfully achieved distinctions in examinations, performed confidently at recitals, participated in competitions, and developed strong musical foundations through my guidance. Their achievements continue to inspire my dedication to music education.
My goal is to help every learner become a confident and expressive musician while developing skills that provide lifelong enjoyment and personal growth.

My Piano lessons are designed to help students develop technical mastery, musical understanding, artistic confidence, and performance excellence through a structured and personalized learning approach. I teach Classical Piano, Contemporary Piano, Music Theory, Sight Reading, Ear Training, Rhythm Development, Improvisation, Performance Preparation, and Musical Interpretation.
Students begin by developing strong foundations including posture, hand positioning, finger independence, coordination, rhythm accuracy, note recognition, and listening skills. These essential skills provide the framework required for advanced musical growth and confident performance.
As learners progress, lessons incorporate scales, arpeggios, technical studies, repertoire development, interpretation, dynamics, phrasing, improvisation, advanced performance techniques, and recital preparation. Students learn not only how to play music accurately but also how to understand and interpret it artistically.
Music theory is integrated directly into practical activities so students gain a deeper understanding of harmony, rhythm, structure, and musical analysis. This approach helps learners become independent musicians capable of learning and performing confidently.
Students preparing for examinations, competitions, auditions, recitals, or personal musical goals receive customized practice plans, performance coaching, and detailed feedback designed to maximize improvement and confidence.
