About Jasmine
I am a piano instructor with 6 years of teaching experience. I hold a BM in Sacred Music, with piano and organ as my main focus. My academic background gives me insight into musical structure and theory. I also bring practical experience playing ragtime, stride, and early jazz piano. I work with school-aged students and adults who want to explore historical styles. Lessons focus on technique, musicality, and expressive playing. Improvisation is emphasized in jazz and ragtime pieces. Students learn to understand rhythm, phrasing, and stylistic nuance. I encourage curiosity about music history. Each student’s goals shape our lessons. I help beginners gain confidence at the keyboard. More advanced players refine interpretation and improvisation skills. Lessons combine structured learning with creative exploration. Students learn how to play with both accuracy and feeling. Historical piano repertoire becomes enjoyable and approachable.
