About Dylan
I am a dedicated Piano tutor with more than 6 years of teaching experience, specializing in teaching college students. I enjoy helping students improve their musical skills while making every lesson enjoyable, interactive, and easy to follow.
My teaching style focuses on understanding each student's strengths, learning preferences, and future goals. Since every student learns differently, I create personalized lesson plans that help them progress comfortably without unnecessary pressure. I explain every topic using simple English and practical demonstrations, making learning smooth and enjoyable.
To make lessons more effective, I use innovative teaching methods such as interactive exercises, learning through popular songs, digital resources, rhythm games, listening practice, and creative assignments. These methods help students understand concepts more clearly while keeping them interested throughout the course.
I teach important piano skills including posture, finger techniques, scales, chords, sight reading, rhythm, dynamics, and musical expression. Along with technical skills, I also help students develop confidence, consistency, and good practice habits that lead to long-term improvement.
I believe positive encouragement is one of the best ways to help students succeed. I regularly review progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust lessons whenever needed. My teaching methodology focuses on helping students enjoy learning piano while developing creativity and confidence. Every lesson is planned according to the student's interests, goals, and learning ability.
Real-life examples and practical situations make learning easier. Rhythm is explained through everyday movements, while music theory is connected with songs students already know. These examples help students understand musical ideas naturally.
Understanding is always my first priority. Students learn one concept at a time, allowing them to build strong fundamentals before moving to advanced lessons. This creates confidence and long-term success.
Communication is an important part of every class. I provide clear explanations, answer questions patiently, and encourage students through positive feedback and regular guidance.
Integrity guides every lesson I teach. I believe in honesty, respect, punctuality, and dedication. Besides piano, I also teach keyboard, ear training, music theory, sight reading, rhythm exercises, improvisation, accompaniment, and beginner music composition.
