About PARABEL
I'm Pablo, originally from Tandil in Argentina and now based in Byron Bay. I started out at the Isaias Orbe Conservatory in Tandil and kept going from there, through music school in La Plata and Buenos Aires. I've played and recorded in Buenos Aires, Copenhagen and Australia, and I release my own music under the name PARABEL.
I teach because it's the part of music I find hardest to stop doing. Most people who come to me already love music and already hear more than they realize. The moment when someone finally puts a name to something they've been feeling for years is why I keep doing this.
I'm patient, I don't rush anyone, and I'll tell you straight what's working and what isn't. If you've been meaning to start, or to start again after a long break, that's usually a good sign.

I'm Pablo, a musician and teacher with 12 years of experience. I trained as a professional musician in La Plata, completed a bachelor in piano and keyboard in Buenos Aires, and did formal pedagogic training in Mar del Plata. I play piano, guitar, bass and synthesizers, and I write and produce my own music.
Lessons run 60 minutes and start from your own material. If you already play, bring a piece you're stuck on or a track you're working on. If you're starting from scratch, we build from a song you actually want to play rather than from exercises.
I teach piano and jazz piano along with the harmony behind them: voicings, chord function, reharmonization and improvisation. If you produce, we take the same ideas into your DAW. You don't need to read music, although I'll teach you if you want it.
I work with complete beginners, adults coming back after years away, and players with experience who never systematized what they already sense by ear. Teenagers and adults both welcome.
Every lesson ends with one thing to practice before the next, and the next one starts by reviewing how it went. Lessons in English or Spanish, online or in person in Byron Bay.

I met Parabel through mutual friends and he is just an absolute top bloke and one of those teachers you can tell genuinely likes teaching.
