Greg started with my son during his 7th grade year as his percussion instructor/assistant band director at his school. Because of him, my son quickly developed a passion for the snare drum and began taking private lessons from him weekly. After moving last year, we continued to take online lessons with Greg. I couldn't ask for a better teacher and role model for my son. His care and enthusiasm for teaching percussion is evident in every lesson that he teaches. He pushed him to excel as a musician and as a person. Because of what my son has learned over the last few years with Greg, he was able to audition for the Mississippi Lions All-State Band. He made callbacks his 8th grade year, and he made the top 10 in the Lions All-State Band this year as a freshman! Amazing percussion tutor!! From top to bottom, I have been throughly impressed with Mr. Greg’s curriculum, dedication, and professionalism. He focuses on the fundamental elements of music theory including technique and sight reading skills…the secret sauce for successful band students. My son is confident and prepared when he walks into his highly competitive band classes. He has earned numerous outstanding performance awards and after two years of weekly lessons, I’ve stopped asking my kiddo if he wants to continue tutoring. The answer is always a resounding “YES” usually followed by a teenager’s eye roll. In summary, Mr. Greg’s patience makes the learning experience fun. His virtuosity in percussion is without question.
