About Samuel
I have a bachelor degree in cultural anthropology and development sociology and I've been teaching English to expats and students for the last five years. I started by teaching expatriate employees of the ING bank in Amsterdam for the Eszett Global Language school. After this I obtained a TEFL Cambridge English certificate and privately helped (aspiring) students prepare for their language exams. I teach lessons online and at your home in Berlin.

In my experience, the single most important thing in a successful language course is keeping you, the student, excited and engaged. I like to know about your interests and try to build lessons around the subjects that matter to you. Even though learning a new language is serious business, I also want my students to have fun. I like to combine structured learning materials with interesting media and interactive exercises. After we establish your level and priorities, I'll get you on your way to speaking English like a boss.

Perfect! Hi,
ich bin mega zufrieden ! Sam nimmt sich Zeit und erklärt alles in ruhe . Ich werde die nächste paar Monate mich noch unterrichten lassen von ihm !Perfect! Toller und zuverlässiger Lehrer, der einen bestärkt und die Angst vorm Sprechen nimmt. Das Konzept finde ich sehr gelungen, da Sam immer mitschreibt und so auf Fehler hinweisen kann, die ich korrigiert in einem Google-Dokument zum Lernen erhalte. Zudem ist Samuel sehr engagiert, da er mir sofort YouTube -Filme und Literaturhinweise zu meinem speziellen Bedürfnis "Business-English" herausgesucht hat. Ich freue mich auf unsere wöchentliche Stunde per Skype, weil ich danach immer einen Schritt weiter bin und sich der Erfolg sehr schnell einstellt.
Perfect! Den Unterricht bei Samuel möchte ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Sehr nett, motivierend und kompetent!

Perfect! Sam hat unser Unterricht komplett nach meinen Interessent aufgebaut. Daher finde ich unsere Gespräche und mein home work sehr spannend, wie z.B. Essays schreiben, die wir dann zusammen bearbeiten oder ein Buch oder ein Artikel lesen, die wir nachher besprechen.
Von Anfang an wurden auch meine Schwerpunkte festgelegt.
Die Stunde verläuft dynamisch und gibt mir viel Energie und Motivation das Besprochene zu wiederholen und neue Sachen dazu zu lernen :)
Freut mich, dass ich endlich eine Struktur beim Englisch lernen habe.

Als echter Superprof ist Samuel aufrichtig an seinen Schülern interessiert und hat eine außergewöhnliche Fähigkeit, ihre Herausforderungen zu verstehen. Samuel ist seit vielen Jahren mein Kollege, und er spricht immer mit großer Freude darüber, die besten Strategien zu finden, um seinen Schülern zu helfen. Diejenigen, die Samuel als Sprachlehrer bekommen, können sich glücklich schätzen!
Sam is real cool.
Even though he is very structured, he creates such a relaxed environment for you. He takes a genuine interest in your interests and caters lessons specifically to you. He is patient and his explanations are clear and easy to understand. He does challenge you but he's always encouraging and won't let you give up because he's very good at understanding what level you're at and helping you improve. He's multilingual so that gives him the advantage of really understanding language from both a student and teacher perspective.
I took Dutch lessons with him and they were always fun and interactive. He understood that I wasn't an absolute beginner because I was familiar with Afrikaans, but he identified the gaps in my grammar knowledge (like conjugations) and helped me build my vocabulary, improve my writing and corrected my pronunciation. I highly recommend him. I had no regrets. He knows what he's doing.View more recommendations
