About Tal
My name is Tal Klein, 28 years old, musician/pianist/organist/composer/educator. I’m originally from Israel, I studied at Katzenelson High School and graduated with honors with a major in music. Afterwards I served the IDF as the lead pianist in the Israeli police orchestra there I played with the top singers in Israel such as: Yehoram Ga’on, Daniel Salomon, Kobi Aflalo, Nurit Hirsh and many more, and in the top venues and festivals and Israel such as, Carmiel Dance Festival, Klezmer Festival in Tzfat, HaEzor, HaBima, the American ambassador’s house, the president’s house and many more.
After I have finished my army service as a lead pianist I moved to NYC to study at the New School For Jazz and Contemporary Music and worked there as a private tutor for students in subjects such as, Ear training, theory and performance, sight reading, piano for beginners, rhythm etc.
After graduating I decided to stay in nyc and I have succeeded to collaborate with some of the worlds top Jazz musicians such as: Sam Yahel, Hal Galper, David Schnitter, Andreas Toftemark, Eric Mcphirson, Guy Paz, Adam Frumkin, Charles Toliver, many more.

I’m teaching music since the age of 16, I taught in variety of situation such as groups and private students, schools and conservatories.
Today I’m teaching piano online students from all around the world NYC, San Francisco and Tel Aviv.

The main important thing which I focused on with my students is: Why did I want to play piano? Because it's Fun! Of course every student is different but no one likes to practice when it is not fun. My main Goal as a teacher is to teach my students how to become their own teacher by exploring the world of music listening to music and develop their skills by music that they like.
