About Jonathan
I am a professional music producer with multiple official releases on successful labels including Night Bass, UKF and Medium Rare. I also have a lot of live DJ experience, having been booked to play in some of Europe’s most respected clubs. Before Covid I was supporting myself primarily through bookings and supplementing my income with occasional online lessons, but since the nightlife industry remains in lockdown I have a lot more time on my hands and am looking to tutor more.
I have been producing music for over 5 years, achieving success in the last two years under the alias Hot Goods. I started on Logic Pro 9 before switching to X, and I also have extensive experience with a number of plug-ins and VST’s. My expertise is in House music, but I can tutor on any subject related to electronic music, including both technical and creative issues.

I starts by gaining an understanding of my students current level and identifying the areas that need the most work. If the student already has an idea of where they are struggling (for example with EQ or creative flow), I can also start there. I will always demonstrate the techniques I teach by showing how I have used them in tracks that have had commercial success. I also offer long term tutoring, where I advise students on the music they are making and help them with technical issues, creative blocks and mixdowns. I have several long term students who I have tutored since they were complete beginners, and they have all developed rapidly.

Definitely recommend Jonny for music production lessons. I literally didn’t know anything and can now confidently finish a track start to finish. He taught me fundamentals, music theory and how to use creative inspiration along with several other small tips and tricks. Fair price for a lot of knowledge.
