About Maris
I hold an MSc in Mathematics and have eight years of experience teaching students at various levels. My goal is to cultivate strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a genuine appreciation for mathematics. My lessons emphasize understanding concepts rather than memorizing formulas. Students learn to connect ideas, recognize patterns, and approach problems creatively and systematically, fostering independent thinking and intellectual curiosity. I use interactive methods, visualizations, and real-life examples to make abstract ideas tangible. Learners are encouraged to ask questions, experiment, and explore multiple solution strategies, building confidence and mastery. My Maths lessons start by building strong foundations in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, probability, and statistics. I break down each concept with step-by-step explanations, emphasizing reasoning and logical connections, ensuring students develop a deep understanding.
I integrate real-life applications such as financial modeling, data analysis, engineering problems, and computer algorithms to make abstract concepts relevant. Students explore how mathematics shapes the world around them, enhancing engagement and comprehension.
