As an interior design mentor with over a decade of experience at one of the world's leading design firms, my goal is to imbue students with the confidence and proficiency needed to excel in any scale of project. My extensive background includes working with high-profile clients, providing me with a wealth of knowledge and skills that are essential for anyone aspiring to advance their career in this dynamic and demanding field.
I specialize in nurturing a range of skills – from mastering Revit, to refining detailing and documentation techniques, to selecting materials and finishes with confidence. Additionally, I offer strategic insights for navigating challenging workplace dynamics, including managing difficult supervisors and collaborating within dysfunctional teams.
My diverse portfolio spans multiple sectors, including workplace design, high-rise residential projects, healthcare, education, and lighting consulting. With professional experience in Chicago, Portland, and Boston, I bring a comprehensive understanding of the varied challenges designers encounter in their pursuit of success.
Each of my lessons is tailored to meet your specific needs, whether you're an aspiring designer seeking to establish a strong foundation or a seasoned professional aiming to elevate your career. I deeply care about the success of each of my students. On top of the more matter-of-fact skill-building, I take a holistic approach to not only develop the desired skills but to move beyond personal blocks and understand the importance of healthy boundaries to set my students up for greater long-term success in this ever evolving field of interior design.
