I’m Jason! I’m an energetic and enthusiastic visual artist with a passion for imaginative storytelling and years of experience working as an artist and designer. My goal is to entertain, innovate and tell meaningful stories as an artist within the illustration field. I am also passionate about graphic design and traditional figurative and landscape painting.
As an instructor, I have supported my students and helped them achieve a range of accomplishments! Whether your goal is to simply improve your skills within the span of an hour lesson or learn skills to gain successful admission into your dream school, I am here to help! We can work together toward preparing you for a successful audition or portfolio critique no matter your school level (from magnet middle schools to graduate schools). I've helped artists get their first freelance art gigs, and I've helped students win contests and scholarships.
I will help you to develop a more competitive body of work! I will also help you hone your presentation skills, answer your industry specific questions, and help you understand how to deal with the mental challenges that may come with honing your craft.
My specialty is traditional and digital drawing, painting, and illustration. In our lessons, I will help you to improve your skills by doing draw-overs. This method involves sending me a screenshot of your work so that I can draw on top of it and make suggestions to demonstrate areas we will work on improving together!
I am so excited to lend a hand and support you through the process of discovering the next steps in your creative journey no matter what stage you are currently at! I look forward to us meeting in your first session!

Perfect! He was kind and patient with my young daughter.
- Karna's daughter, Jiya, is so hungry to learn and be creative! She jumps right into each project with energy and a willingness to try new techniques that I suggest to make work that is related to her own wonderful interests. She takes direction very well and I'm delighted to see that she's readily retaining my instruction and noticing when new ways of painting or drawing lead to better results. She even sees her own improvement from each piece to the next. It is a pleasure to spend this valuable and formative time with her to nurture Jiya's creative spirit into what I hope becomes a lifelong passion for art making!Jason's response :
