About Oleksandr
My name is Oleksandr, and I have been studying history for more than seven years at one of the top universities in my country – Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in 2022 and Master’s degree in 2024, and I am now pursuing a PhD. My main research interest is the fascinating period of the Cossack Hetmanate. Since childhood, I have loved reading historical stories and imagining heroes, armor, and epic battles. This passion became my profession in 2018, when I entered university. Today, I want to share this passion with everyone – students, travelers, history fans, and anyone curious about Ukraine’s rich and exciting past.

I am Oleksandr, a professional historian with a Master’s degree and published research. My interactive lessons take you on a journey through the fascinating history of Ukraine – from the first humans on our lands to the Greek colonies on the Black Sea coast, the mysterious Amazons, the powerful Scythians, the Viking trade routes, and the glorious era of Kyivan Rus.
