About Michael
I started playing the guitar when I was 12 years old, I'm 31 now. I'm originally from London but I have travelled all over the world.
I started out playing rock, things like Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, AC/DC and then metal. As I got a little older I became fascinated as to where all these guys got their inspiration and I became submersed in Delta blues and Jazz from the 1920's/1930's.
Learning about early music gave me a lot of understanding as to how music developed over the 20th century. It's something I'm very passionate about and I'd love the opportunity to share it with people.
I taught myself all about music theory and technique over many years, and I believe I can help aspiring players through my own experience. There are many things I wish I was aware of at a younger age and I can pass this knowledge on. I'm a patient and caring individual and it'll be my pleasure to watch you grow!

I believe in teaching anything via a hands-on and practical approach is very important. I won't just teach you a bunch of theory, I'll break everything down so you can use it in your own playing immediately. We will also carefully look at technique so you can achieve the best tone possible. I also have 10+ years teaching English as a foreign language so I'm patient and understanding and able to communicate with all different types of students and ability.
Lessons will last for 1 hour and all ages are welcome. Whether you want to shred like Jimi Hendrix or carefully dive into the technical side of Jazz you are welcome to join me. I have been playing the guitar for over 20 years doing a range of styles and I'm excited to share this knowledge and experience with you!
