About Rory
With eight years of teaching and performing experience, guitar has been the heartbeat of my creative life. I started as a self-taught player fascinated by sound, then deepened my craft through study and stage experience. Sharing that knowledge through teaching brings me immense fulfillment — helping others find freedom and identity in their music. I teach with patience, positivity, and adaptability, emphasizing both structure and enjoyment. My lessons encourage personal expression, improvisation, and curiosity, allowing students to feel ownership over their musical growth. I believe that learning guitar should be an empowering journey that nurtures creativity at every level. Beyond lessons, I perform regularly, write original pieces, and collaborate with other artists to stay inspired. Teaching guitar is my way of giving back to the art form that has shaped who I am — it’s where discipline meets passion and music becomes a shared story.

Guitar lessons should awaken a sense of rhythm, creativity, and joy. My teaching philosophy is to blend technical training with emotional connection so every student learns not just to play, but to express. I cultivate a relaxed, motivating environment where each note becomes an opportunity to explore and grow, building confidence and musical identity along the way.
Beginners focus on chords, strumming, rhythm, and ear training to create a solid foundation. Intermediate players learn scales, improvisation, and diverse styles, from acoustic melodies to rock and blues. Advanced students refine performance skills, tone control, and compositional ideas, turning musical understanding into artistry. Lessons adapt to each learner’s pace, ensuring steady, rewarding progress.
By the end, students not only master songs and techniques but develop a deeper relationship with music itself. They gain artistic confidence, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for creativity. Lessons are designed to build musicians who play with both skill and soul.
