About Ivy
I am an experienced Flute tutor with over 7 years of teaching School, College, and working professional students. I enjoy guiding students step by step and helping them develop strong musical skills.
My teaching approach focuses on building a solid foundation. I train students in proper breathing, posture, finger movement, tone clarity, and rhythm precision. I ensure students understand each lesson clearly before moving ahead.
Along with flute lessons, I teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm training, scale practice, ear training, and performance techniques. These subjects help students improve overall musical understanding. I also guide students with exam preparation.
My unique skill is adapting lessons to different learning styles. I offer clear explanations, personalised practice routines, and continuous support. My goal is to help students learn flute with confidence and enjoyment.

I follow a student-friendly flute teaching approach that focuses on communication, creativity, and flexibility. I explain each concept step by step and provide regular feedback so students can improve with confidence. Open communication helps students feel comfortable and supported.
Creativity plays an important role in my lessons through creative exercises, musical patterns, and expressive playing techniques. Lessons are planned flexibly and adjusted according to student progress and goals, whether learning for exams, performances, or personal interest.
Flute instruction includes breathing control, posture, embouchure, finger technique, articulation, scales, rhythm, and sight reading. In addition to flute, I teach supporting subjects such as music theory, ear training, rhythm practice, and performance preparation to help students grow as well-rounded musicians.
