About Ilona
I am a professional fine art realism artist with a deep passion for the technical and atmospheric qualities of drawing. For me, sitting still and sketching is not just a technical discipline, but a deeply rewarding, meditative process that brings incredible focus and mental rest. I want to teach because I love helping other artists unlock those same creative and technical breakthroughs. My goal is to create an inspiring, supportive space where students can transition from standard drawing to gallery-standard work, mastering the advanced pencil skills required to transform their artistic vision into reality.

We focus heavily on mastering my signature fine art realism style, prioritising atmosphere, depth, and sensory feeling over mechanical detail. Together, we break down complex portraits into manageable exercises, studying pencil control, proportions, and advanced textures like hair, skin, and fabric. We use premium graphite and charcoal to turn drawings into captivating visual anchors.
