About JOHN
Good day, I'm ODERINDE ABAYOMI JOHN, a professional video editor, filmmaker, and media trainer with over 15 years of experience in the media and creative industry. Throughout my career, I have worked on weddings, documentaries, music videos, commercials, television productions, church events, and corporate projects, helping bring powerful stories to life through high-quality video editing.
Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy because I believe creative skills can transform lives and open doors to exciting career opportunities. I love helping students move from knowing nothing about video editing to creating professional-quality videos with confidence.
My lessons are friendly, practical, and focused on real-world projects rather than just theory. I encourage creativity, patience, and continuous improvement while ensuring every student understands the editing process step by step.

I believe the best way to learn video editing is through practical, hands-on experience. My teaching approach combines step-by-step demonstrations, real-world projects, and personalized guidance to help students build confidence and professional skills. Every lesson is tailored to the student's learning pace and goals.
I teach Final Cut Pro from beginner to advanced level, covering everything from the interface and editing workflow to color correction, audio enhancement, transitions, effects, motion graphics, multicam editing, and exporting videos for YouTube, social media, television, films, weddings, documentaries, commercials, and corporate productions.
Each lesson typically lasts between 1 and 2 hours, with plenty of time for practice, questions, and feedback. Students also work on real editing projects to develop a professional portfolio and gain industry-ready experience.
With over 15 years of professional experience as a video editor, filmmaker, and media trainer, I have worked on weddings, documentaries, commercials, music videos, church productions, television programs, and promotional content. My goal is not just to teach software but to help students think creatively, tell compelling stories, and edit with confidence.
My lessons are suitable for teenagers, university students, content creators, YouTubers, business owners, aspiring filmmakers, media professionals, and anyone who wants to master Final Cut Pro, whether they are learning for personal projects, career development, or professional production work.
