About Famoriyo
My name is Dorcas. I am a content writer and blogger with a university degree in Industrial Chemistry. Funny right?
I grew up in Nigeria, where English is not a foreign language but the language of school, work, ambition, and everyday life. I did not study English as a subject. I built an entire career with it.
I started teaching English because I noticed a pattern that troubled me.
Many young adult learners are not struggling because English is too difficult. They are struggling because their tutors are too fast, too impatient, and too disconnected from the learner's cultural background and personal journey.
Nobody is meeting them where they are. Nobody is accounting for the fact that learning as an adult requires more patience, more structure, and more human understanding.
That is the gap I stepped into.
I teach complete beginners and intermediate learners who are serious about making progress. My writing background means I understand language with precision and depth, not just conversationally but structurally. My science background means I am analytical, methodical, and I plan every lesson with your specific goals in mind.
I am deeply goal-oriented. Your progress is not something I hope for. It is something I work toward intentionally in every single session.

I did not learn English. I grew up in it.
English is Nigeria's official language, and it has been the language of my education, my career, and my craft as a writer. I have not just studied English, I've lived it, worked in it, and built a profession with it.
That's what I bring to your lessons.
I teach complete beginners and intermediate learners who are serious about making real progress. My lessons are structured because I respect your time.
They are practical because textbooks alone will not make you fluent. And they are personal because your goals are not the same as anyone else's.
