About Riccardo
I've been working professionally in the IT sector since 2019. I started as a Java software developer and later specialized in Data Engineering, working with databases, pipelines, and data warehouses on real-world projects and large volumes of data. In my work, I use or have used technologies such as SQL, Snowflake, Python, Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, and AWS. I've worked on both batch and streaming processing, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouse architectures. I'm certified as a Snowflake SnowPro Core and SnowPro Advanced Data Engineer, and I hold a Databricks certification for Apache Spark. I'm also further exploring data architecture. Throughout my professional experience, I've often presented technical solutions and explained concepts and tools to colleagues. I want to bring the same approach to my lessons: starting from the basics, using concrete examples, and gradually building independence and understanding. I don't take prior knowledge for granted: if you've never written an SQL query or a line of code, we can easily start from there.

My lessons are primarily aimed at those starting from scratch or with limited knowledge and who want to learn computer science, programming, and the world of data in a practical and gradual way. We can build a solid learning path or focus on a specific need: tutoring, homework help, test preparation, exercises, a topic that isn't clear, or a skill that's useful for work. For those who want to follow a continuous learning path, we start with current knowledge and the final goal to create a clear roadmap together. The program follows a framework but is adapted to the student's needs and progress. Each lesson also has a specific objective: a brief theoretical introduction, practical examples, and exercises completed together, aiming to understand not only what to do, but more importantly, why. I can help you with: • SQL and relational databases, from basic queries to JOIN, CTE, window functions, modeling, and optimization • Python and programming fundamentals • Java and object-oriented programming • Basic algorithms and programming logic • Web programming fundamentals • Data Engineering, data pipelines, ETL, and ELT • Data Warehouse and data modeling • Snowflake • Apache Spark, Kafka, and Airflow • Cloud concepts and AWS services • Using AI tools like ChatGPT and Codex to learn to program, understand code, and perform mindful debugging. For high school students, we can start directly from the curriculum, exercises, or materials provided by the teacher. For adults and professionals, we can build a curriculum from the basics of SQL and databases to the main concepts of Data Engineering, adapting it to their professional goals. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are held online. They are available in both Italian and English.
