About Amanda
Hey! My name is Amanda Pye and I am a professional dance artist and actor. As a graduate from a BFA Dance Program, I have spent over 10 years working as an independent contemporary dance artist as well as 6 years acting on film. I have a wide range of experience working with collaborators in live performance and film, as well as experience creating and building my own work. I am interested in what the worlds of movement and acting can lend to one another as I continue to offer workshops in developing new tools for embodiment and characterization.

Would you like to explore the physical impulses and nuances of a current project or character you are working on? Do you have an upcoming audition that you want to feel grounded and prepared for? Or are you generally interested in exploring how movement can open up new possibilities as an actor?
We will collaborate through guided movement tasks and prompts to build a deeper understanding of our bodies. This work is for aspiring and professional actors who are looking to engage with their practice in a new way.
