About Maria
- I am Maria, a professional artist specialising in painting, with over 10 years of experience in art education, studio practice, and art theory. I hold an MFA from Goldsmiths (supported by the Goldsmiths Excellence Award) and a First-Class BA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins. My art practice has been exhibited and published in the UK and internationally within contemporary art contexts.
- I have a friendly, student-led approach to teaching, and I aim to make painting accessible and enjoyable at any level. Each lesson is carefully tailored to your individual goals, experience, and interests. Whether you are a complete beginner or preparing a portfolio for Foundation, BA, Graduate Diploma, or MA/MFA applications, I can guide you step by step to build your skills, knowledge and confidence, and to develop a unique artistic voice.
