About Sharvari
Hello, all budding singers, my name is Sharvari Sawlapurkar and I'm a professional Hindustani Classical singer in Nagpur. Along with it, I'm a playback singer and a music teacher.
Teaching has always been my passion. when I passed out from my school, I started teaching music to little 8-year-olds who are now teenagers still learning from me. They appeared in 3 exams and scored above 90% under my patronage.
we are a family now which is inseparable. we all grow together, we all compose music together, we all voice our brilliant opinions and create masterpieces together.
The journey of past 5 years of experience in teaching has taught me many things, but the most important lesson I learned was how every student has a different ability and personality. And it is a teacher's job to protect their individuality and help them develop and grow.

As a music teacher, it is important for me to identify my students' special abilities to begin with. Students have different pitches they sing in, they have different tones of their own and a teacher's responsibility here is to develop these special abilities added up with many more abilities.
My classes are generally based on Hindustani Classical music and Hindustani Light music. I teach ragas and some film songs related to those ragas which help my students understand them better.
I have a special way of teaching music which is called as "Gayaki". If the students are specifically interested in Classical singing, this is the method I use to teach them understand the concept of ragas. this also helps them to run their mind wild and helps them make their own compositions.
I teach my students to think out of the box and to not bind themselves in the boundaries of theory.
I try to maintain a balanced proportion of creativity and theory in my class.
