About Jiaji
Academically, I've got a bachelor's in general/pure math and philosophy from Purdue as well as a Master's in Mathematical Finance. I'm finishing a Master's in Applied Math and pursuing a PhD in Applied Math from a top 15 program (University of Washington, Seattle). In my spare time, I do research on some modern mathematics known as probability theory. I work in some subfields of probability and partial differential equations known as large deviations theory, stochastic analysis and general statistical physics.

My lessons are generally short. I don't like to waste time since we've got so much to cover. Most of the time, we won't waste time doing the same kind of example again and again if you don't understand what's going on. If you like doing that sort of thing, i.e. doing stuff you don't really understand, you've got to spend time doing that yourself.
Instead, we will identify where you've gotten stuck and revisit the definitions and key concepts again and again so that you build intentional repetition instead of mindless repetition. You don't need a ton of reps to be good at math - you just need reps that are mindful, intentional and respect the structure of the thing that's unfolding before your eyes.
