About Hayder
I specialise in A-level (Pure 1, Pure 2, Applied (Mechanics and Statistics)) and GCSE Mathematics teaching and learning.
I am also able to provide tuition in GCSE Science - Biology / Chemistry and Physics (as a second subject).
I have expertise in all major examining boards - AQA / Edexcel / OCR and International Baccalaureate - with over +22 years of professional teaching experience.
Am able to cover significant amounts of course content in a short amount of time. Lesson speed is quite pacy.
My tutoring approach is individualised and differentiated for each learner depending on their learning ability, prior starting point and personal preferences.
After carrying out an initial assessment of each tutee, I am able to create a Study Programme to target areas of greatest need as quickly as possible.
I agree a homework schedule with each tutee to consolidate learning on a weekly basis. Regular feedback is provided to the Parent/Guardian every two weeks on pupil progress via WhatsApp.
Am able to Travel as well as teach Online via Teams, Zoom or Discord.
I have over +22 years of Teaching experience in a professional education environment. I am an outstanding practitioner and have achieved a number of Grade 1’s for Teaching, Learning and Assessment by Ofsted inspectors in 2013 and 2014 [Evidence can be provided on request].
I am currently teaching at a medium sized School in London Docklands (Newham) - which has on roll over 750 learners and is rated Good by Ofsted (2018).
Am currently Head of Faculty for Mathematics.

Good experience of preparing students for SATS and 11+ exams.

I sit on a number of regional committees around Excellence in Teaching and Learning and resource development. I am a regular contributor and presenter at a number of national conferences around Outstanding Schools Liaison and Outstanding STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) provision. I have project managed a number of high profile initiatives in London over the last 4-5 years which have been picked up by the local media e.g. The London Schools Science Expo and the Waltham Forest STEM Conference.
Prior to entering education, I worked as an academic research scientist at London’s Imperial College University and prior to that as a Financial Auditor for a top City multinational company (Price Waterhouse Coopers).

The bid manager for a London-wide project across a group of Schools and Colleges promoting STEM education - secured £100k over two years to advance STEM activities and careers.
Secured £10k over two years from The Department of Chemistry at The University of York to promote Careers in Chemistry.
