About SY
SY is a 500-hour certified yoga instructor. She practises and teaches Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, breathworks & pranayama and meditation. She currently teaches group classes at a studio in Bangsar and in the neighbourhood of Desa Parkcity.
SY began yoga very late in her life after a bad knee saga from a long hike. Yoga helped her regain strength, mobility and flexibility, eventually realising that the holistic practise helped her with all aspects of the body and mind.
She is passionate about the study of human bio-mechanics and physiology, often applying these knowledge when planning lessons. She believes that the better we understand our body, the more effective our yoga practise becomes. She is an advocate of safe yoga practices with the motto "no pain is the gain".

I joined the group class for a few months now. SY is very committed and knowledgeable yoga teacher. I enjoy her classes very much!
I’ve enjoyed SY’s classes. After several lessons with her, my lower back pain got much better. I also feel stronger over time and posture became better. I would recommend SY to anyone looking for a holistic practise of yoga ️
SY is very knowledgeable, and always seek methods to make yoga easier for students from different levels. She translated hundreds of hours of self practices and academic studies into practical guidelines for avid yoga students like me.
If you have any questions about your body stiffness, or your inability to flex/move a certain way, SY will always be there to guide you. All you do is ask, and she seems to be able to address most issues!
Never regretted joining her classes. Always learning something each time!View more recommendations
