About Maria
Mentoring students has always been an important part of my life! I received a PhD in immunology from the University of Toronto. My 9-5 is conducting cancer research at The Hospital for Sick Children where I study an aggressive form of leukaemia called AML. I have 15+ years experience teaching students at the elementary school, high school and undergraduate level.

I prefer to meet with students at regular times each time week and add on extra sessions 2 days prior to an important test. Keeping in contact with students between appointments allows me to stay up-to-date on their lessons and come fully prepared to our sessions. Students should have their homework completed to the best of their abilities prior to an appointment and highlight areas/specific questions that need special attention.
