About Timothée
I am a student at the EPFL and I would like to work in energy and ecological engineering. I am bilingual French-English and I am used to meeting people of very different origins and cultures due to my schooling in an international high school in the Geneva region and frequent moves on 4 continents. I have a particular affinity with scientific subjects and with bilingualism, which I wish to pass on to my future students.

As far as my experience goes, I used to tutor my little sister (who's in second grade), and I've also helped mentor classes of younger students on a voluntary basis in the past. I also trained a team of high school students in simultaneous interpretation in 2021 as part of FerMUN (Ferney-Voltaire United Nations model). I am used to children and younger teenagers, I am comfortable with teaching, pedagogy and making people want to learn.
I offer my help to solve problems of comprehension, writing, motivation or calculations. As far as methodology is concerned, the courses take place as follows: first we review the course (essential to succeed in the exercises), we work together on the points that have not been understood, then we do exercises (of increasing difficulty). The aim is to restore confidence in the students. Generally I have the lesson recited at the beginning of each lesson, which allows me to know what has been retained and what has been forgotten / misunderstood. Once the student understands and remembers his lesson, the progress is considerable and the student regains self-confidence, which allows him to succeed in the exercises.
Finally, I communicate and exchange a lot with the students, the parents at the end, and outside of class hours. I remain available to my students at any time during the year. I am also ready to adapt to different profiles, cultures and temperaments.

Je connais Timothée car nous sommes dans la même promo du Bachelor de Physique de L' École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne C'est un étudiant sérieux, toujours présent pour aider les autres étudiants sur les problèmes de mathématiques. C'est un étudiant généreux et agréable qui donne des conseils clairs et qui sait expliquer les choses de manière pertinente et concise. Enfin Timothée a une bonne capacité pour représenter et expliquer les mathématiques de manière visuelle, avec des schémas ; quelque chose de très utile pour comprendre beaucoup de notions mathématiques, peut importe le niveau.
Timothée est très compréhensif et à l'écoute. Il sait se mettre dans la peau des élèves pour adapter son enseignement. Étudiant à l'EPFL, il connaît la difficulté et sait y faire face.
