About Sai Nikhil

I am a graduate student currently pursuing Masters in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in Machine Learning, from Northeastern University. I completed B. Tech (Hons.) from IIT Kharagpur. My primary strengths include Data Structure & Algorithm Implementation, System Designing. Besides this, I hold a strong background in Mathematics, specifically in areas of Calculus, Linear Algebra, Probability & Statistics.


I have an overall work experience of 7.5 years as a Software Engineer and my work involved problem-solving in the areas of Image Processing, Optical Character Recognition, Natural Language Processing, Enterprise Application Development at 3 tech companies, Altair Engineering, Oracle, Hitachi Vantara. Before I started my MS program, I held a job offer for an L62 role from Microsoft. However, I chose to pursue MS in order to enhance my knowledge in the field of Machine Learning. In Summer 2021, I had 3 internship opportunities in Software Engineering from reputed companies. I rejected them as they are not in line with my long-term career goals. Instead, I diligently studied relevant coursework from Coursera and completed Deep Learning Specialization (5 courses), Numerical Analysis course, Fundamentals of Scalable Data Science course, Data Structures course. I am currently learning Natural Language Processing Specialization, MLOps Specialization.
