About Megan
I decided to become a teacher because I’ve always loved helping people. There’s something amazing about seeing someone finally ‘get’ something they’ve been struggling with, and knowing you were part of that moment. I want to help you not only understand the lessons, but also feel confident and proud of your own abilities. Teaching is about more than just giving information—it’s about guiding you to realise your full potential, and that’s something I’m really passionate about.

“In my primary tutoring lessons, I focus on creating a supportive, engaging, and individualised learning environment. I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit their unique learning styles and needs. I start each session with a friendly check-in to establish rapport and to understand how the student is feeling, which helps me to create a comfortable atmosphere. I ensure that the lesson has clear objectives, so both the student and I know what we’re aiming to achieve. I break down concepts into manageable steps and use a variety of methods—such as visual aids, interactive activities, and games—to make learning both fun and effective. I’m a big believer in building confidence, so I provide plenty of positive reinforcement and encourage students to ask questions and take risks without fear of making mistakes. Throughout the session, I offer continuous feedback, helping students understand where they’re excelling and where they can improve. I make sure to actively involve them in the learning process by asking open-ended questions and encouraging them to think critically. At the end of each lesson, I always recap what we’ve covered and assign follow-up tasks to reinforce what they’ve learnt. Ultimately, my goal is not just to help students succeed academically, but to help them develop a love for learning and the confidence to tackle new challenges on their own.”**
