About Uzma
Hi! I’m a qualified Primary School Teacher with a passion for helping students achieve their best. With years of classroom experience, I understand how to make learning engaging, structured, and effective. I believe in using explicit teaching methods—breaking concepts into clear steps and guiding students with plenty of practice until they feel confident. My approach is supportive and encouraging, because I know that with the right strategies and consistent practice, every student can succeed. As a qualified primary school teacher with a Master in Teaching, I bring both professional expertise and practical classroom experience to my tutoring. I believe that every student has the ability to succeed when given the right support, structure, and encouragement.
Techniques & Methodology:
I use an explicit teaching methodology, breaking down concepts step by step and modelling strategies before guiding students to apply them independently. I believe in the principle that practice makes perfect, so I provide plenty of opportunities for guided and independent practice to reinforce learning. My lessons are interactive, structured, and tailored to each student’s individual needs.
Typical Lesson Length:
Most lessons run for 60 minutes, but I am flexible to adjust between 45–90 minutes depending on the student’s focus and requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s in Teaching
- Experienced primary school teacher with a strong background in supporting students across subjects
- Skilled in scaffolding learning, building confidence, and helping students progress step by step

I primarily work with primary and middle school students who need support in literacy, numeracy, and general studies.
