About Jessie
My name is Jessie, and working with children has never felt like a job to me — it has always felt like a calling.
From as far back as I can remember, I have had a natural love for children. There is something about the way a young child sees the world — with curiosity, openness, and complete honesty — that I have always been drawn to. That love is what brought me into early childhood education over 20 years ago, and it is the very same love that keeps me showing up for every child I work with today.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of walking alongside hundreds of children and families — through first days, hard days, breakthrough days, and everything in between. I have led preschools, built schools from scratch, trained teachers, and supported children with all kinds of learning needs. But if you ask me what I am most proud of, it is not any of that.
It is the child who walked in silent and afraid — and eventually ran in excited to learn. It is the child who kept getting it wrong, until one day, something clicked, and their whole face changed. It is the parent who told me their child finally said they enjoyed school. Those are the moments I teach for.
I believe deeply that every child deserves to feel capable and seen. Not just the quick learners. Not just the easy ones. Every single child — including yours. My job is not to fit your child into a mold. It is to find what works for them, build their confidence from the inside out, and make sure they leave every session feeling a little more capable than when they arrived.
I am not just here to teach Math and English. I am here to show your child that learning is something they can do — and something they can love.

• English: Phonics, early reading, writing, and sentence building — delivered in a structured yet playful way that builds confidence alongside competency
I don't just drill worksheets. I build foundations.
With 20+ years in early childhood education — including running preschools, training teachers, and teaching phonics at enrichment centres — I understand exactly how young children learn Maths and English, what trips them up, and how to make it stick.
Fully bilingual in English and Mandarin. Experienced with special needs and reluctant learners. Parents are kept closely involved every step of the way.
