About Isabella

I am a dedicated premed undergraduate with a 3.77 GPA, currently applying to medical school, and I bring both academic excellence and real teaching experience to every session. With over three years of tutoring experience, I have worked with students across a range of science subjects and academic levels, helping them build strong foundations, improve performance, and gain confidence in their abilities.

I approach tutoring with a high level of professionalism, preparation, and accountability. I take the time to understand each student’s needs, goals, and learning style, and I work intentionally to ensure every session is focused, productive, and tailored. I believe that students deserve more than quick explanations—they deserve clarity, patience, and support from someone who truly cares about their success.

As someone pursuing a career in medicine, I hold myself to high standards of responsibility, communication, and integrity. I treat every student with respect and take my role as an educator seriously. Beyond academics, I aim to be a reliable support system, encouraging students through challenges and helping them develop the confidence needed to thrive in demanding courses.

Working with me means having a tutor who is invested in your growth, committed to your success, and focused on helping you gain the understanding and clarity you need to move forward with confidence.

My approach as a tutor is centered on clarity, personalization, and confidence-building. I believe that most students don’t struggle because they “aren’t good at science,” but because the material was never broken down in a way that truly made sense to them. I take things one step at a time, breaking complex concepts into simple, manageable pieces that build logically on one another.

Teaching Method & Techniques

I use a diagnostic and mastery-based approach. At the beginning, I work closely with students to review their current assignments, past exams, homework, or problem sets. This allows me to identify specific gaps in understanding rather than reteaching everything unnecessarily. From there, I focus on the why behind concepts, not just memorization, using analogies, visuals, guided problem-solving, and active recall to reinforce learning. I frequently check for understanding and adjust my explanations in real time based on how the student responds.

A Typical Lesson

A typical lesson starts with a quick check-in to identify what the student is currently working on or struggling with. We then:

Review relevant past work to pinpoint weak areas

Break down difficult concepts into simple, intuitive explanations

Practice applying those concepts through guided examples or problems

End with a short recap and strategies the student can use independently

Each lesson is fully tailored to the student’s goals, class pace, and learning style—no one-size-fits-all sessions.

What Sets Me Apart

What sets me apart is my ability to make science feel approachable and even enjoyable. As a premed undergraduate with over 3 years of teaching experience, I understand both the academic rigor of science courses and the stress students feel navigating them. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing. My goal is not just to help students perform better on assignments or exams, but to help them truly understand the material and gain confidence in their abilities.

Who My Lessons Are For

My lessons are ideal for:

Middle school and high school students taking biology, chemistry, or physics

College students enrolled in introductory or core science courses

Students who feel overwhelmed, behind, or frustrated with science

Students who want personalized support rather than fast-paced classroom instruction

Whether you need help catching up, staying on track, or strengthening your foundation for future coursework, I tailor each session to meet you where you are and help you move forward.
