Hi, I’m Jules Day, but most students know me as Mr. Day! I’m an experienced AP Precalculus teacher and math tutor with six years of tutoring experience. Math can be challenging, but I believe that with the right support, any student can succeed—and that’s exactly what I’m here to provide. As a dedicated educator, I specialize in breaking down complex concepts and tailoring my explanations to fit each student’s unique learning style. Whether a student needs help building foundational skills, preparing for an exam, or pushing themselves to the next level, I create a structured yet flexible approach that meets their individual needs. Beyond tutoring, I lead my school’s math department, where I train and mentor other teachers to enhance their instruction. With six years of tutoring experience and my current role as an AP Precalculus teacher, I have developed a highly adaptable and student-centered approach to instruction. Typical Lesson Plan: - Warm-up & Diagnostic Check – A quick review of previous material and discussion of any challenges. - Concept Introduction – Introducing the new topic using an approach tailored to the student's learning style. - Guided Practice – Working through problems together while identifying and addressing misconceptions. - Independent Practice & Application – Encouraging students to solve problems on their own with my guidance as needed. - Review & Strategy Discussion – Summarizing key takeaways, identifying areas to focus on, and discussing strategies for improvement.
