I hold an undergraduate degree in biology (general) with a minor in physical education and sports studies. Currently working towards a two year after degree in teaching looking to focus on teaching in the sciences including biology, chemistry, and physics.

My teaching approach includes constructivist ideology where students construct their own learning and synthesize knowledge from previously learned information. I believe in scaffolding instruction so that all students have an understanding of one concept before moving onto the next. Students should be active participants in their learning.
