About Virgilio
I am a Data Privacy Manager for a UK non-profit and a final year PhD candidate in Law.
My background includes work in sports and tourism, aviation, and the non-profit sector. I have extensive experience in business compliance.
My qualifications and education include a law (LL.B Hons) and management (MA) degree, as well as Data Protection Officer certification from the European Centre on Privacy and Cybersecurity (ECPC-B). I am a CIPP/E member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and in 2021, I was named a "OneTrust Fellow of Privacy Technology."
I have been published in prestigious, peer-reviewed journals, and my research as a PhD Candidate in Law focuses on businesses' operationalisation of Data Protection and Privacy law. As a Fellow of the Institute of Paralegals (F.Inst.Pa) and a member of the UK Professional Paralegal Register, I am experienced in handling complex legal matters in a variety of jurisdictions.
