About Hazel
My interest in programming began when I first realised how software systems can automate tasks, solve real-world problems, and transform ideas into functional digital solutions. This curiosity led me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering and build a strong foundation in coding, algorithms, and software design. Over time, I developed a passion for teaching because I wanted to help students understand programming in a simpler and more practical way.
Over the past 9 years, I have worked with students from different backgrounds and helped them build confidence in coding through structured lessons and real-world project development. I focus on breaking complex programming concepts into simple, logical steps so students can understand not just how to code, but why solutions work. My teaching approach emphasises clarity, patience, and continuous practice.
My ultimate goal is to help students become independent problem solvers who can think logically and build software with confidence. I want learners to develop the ability to break complex problems into manageable parts and create real-world applications that are useful and efficient. With strong foundational skills and consistent practice, students can grow into capable developers ready for academic challenges, internships, and professional opportunities in modern technology-driven industries.

My programming lessons are designed to help students understand coding through structured logic, hands-on practice, and real-world application development. I teach Python, Java, C++, web development, databases, and algorithm fundamentals using step-by-step explanations that make programming easier to understand from the ground up. Students learn how software systems are structured, how logic flows in programmes, and how real applications are designed and executed.
Each lesson is carefully adapted to the learner’s current skill level and long-term goals. Beginners focus on variables, data types, loops, conditions, and functions through guided coding exercises that build strong logical thinking. Intermediate learners work on object-oriented programming, debugging techniques, data structures, and problem decomposition. Advanced learners focus on APIs, full-stack development, database integration, and building complete real-world projects. Continuous practice ensures students improve consistency, confidence, and coding accuracy.
My main goal is to help students develop a developer mindset where they can independently analyse problems and build working software solutions. Through structured practice and project-based learning, learners progress from writing simple programmes to developing complete applications. This prepares them for academic success, internships, and professional careers in software development, where logical thinking, creativity, and technical skill are essential.
