About Tanisha
I have been tutoring chemistry for over 5 years and hold a MSc in Radiochemistry. My expertise lies in food chemistry and nutritional science, where science meets daily living. I specialize in teaching macromolecules—proteins, carbohydrates, and fats—and their functions in nutrition. I also cover food additives and the chemistry behind flavor, preservation, and texture. Students enjoy my lessons on metabolic processes and how the body turns nutrients into energy. I integrate dietary analysis exercises so students can apply theory to real food. This makes the subject both personal and practical. I also bring in food product development, where learners see how new foods are designed using chemistry. Cooking chemistry is one of my favorite teaching tools. Whether it’s understanding fermentation or protein denaturation, I connect science to the kitchen. I believe in interactive and applied learning. My goal is to help students see the bigger picture of how chemistry affects health and food. My chemistry teaching is centered on analytical skills and practical use. I make spectroscopy, including NMR, IR, and UV-Vis, clear and approachable. My teaching style is relaxed but focused, ensuring students understand before moving forward. Instrumental analysis is always emphasized, as it connects theory to lab work. For geneticists and microbiologists, I provide support in mastering key lab techniques. This includes interpreting complex results and applying chemistry to biological questions. Lessons are designed to bridge the gap between chemistry and life sciences. I encourage problem-solving and critical thinking throughout. Each session connects directly to research or practical scenarios. Mistakes are treated as natural parts of the learning journey. My aim is to help learners feel prepared and confident in the lab.
