About Ian
During classes I seek a balance between approaching theory, technique, reading, repertoire and improvisation. We will work on the essential of the positioning in relation to the instrument, exercises to develop independence between fingers and hands, the reading of cipher and score, the formation of chords, concepts and technical terms used in the study of music, the logic involved in improvisation and varied repertoire although more focused on rock. All material used during classes is available for consultations in the cloud, including handouts, exercises and exclusive repertoire prepared by the teacher. I am available for quick inquiries through WhatsApp and always open to suggestions in order to adapt classes for individual needs.

I am a musician with a degree in Music and a postgraduate student in Music Education at IFPR. I have been performing in music as a teacher, interpreter, composer and arranger since 2004. I love teaching and I have worked with students of different ages and experiences, from social projects to music schools, individual and group classes. My area of greatest affinity is with the theoretical disciplines: Perception, Music Reading and Writing, Arrangement, Composition ... and in practice I dedicate myself more to Keyboard and Drums with heavy metal. I was nominated as the 7th best keyboardist in national metal with the release of the album 'Dream for Eternity' (Lords of Aesir, 2014) in an open vote on the website of Roadie Crew magazine.
