About Ceinwen
I am affiliated with University College London (UCL) undergoing my Post Graduate Research in Education in Physics and Mathematics, while working as a Physics and Maths teacher at a High School in East London. I hold a first-class Integrated Masters degree in Physics at King's College London, in addition to studying intercollegiate courses at other Universities of London such as UCL, Queen Mary's, and Royal Holloway. I have worked in an observatory in London, and have a strong interest in Astronomy. I used to work at KCL using computational fluid dynamics to simulate fire spread and ignition, where data and information found will be used to prevent forest fires from spreading in the US. I achieved 8A* and 4A at GCSE, and 3 A* in Physics, Mathematics and Further Mathematics at A level. My teaching methods are very descriptive, I try my best to utilise real-world examples and current topics! I will help you install a habit of double-checking your work and teach you techniques to check if your final answers are correct with respect to the initial input variables. We can also practice using the semantic encoding of information through mnemonics, which would improve the memorisation techniques that you can apply in your exams. I can help you prepare for exams or tests, making it a less stressful experience. I am patient, and passionate, and look forward to tutoring you!

After deciding with the student if the aim of our tutoring sessions is to teach them content, help them revise what they are learning in school, or prepare for exams, the lesson would usually be structured as followed: 0-10 mins: re-capping content from the previous week, and doing a question together 10-30 mins: Short interactive presentation on new content, where we go through the new concept together and apply it to simpler questions 30-55 mins: We will attempt exam-style questions together, to get a better understanding of how to achieve the marks in the exam! In the last five minutes, we will discuss what we learned today and decide on which area to improve next!
