I’ve had Alana as my tutor during GCSE’s and A-Levels and it completely changed my grades. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t have been able to achieve my 8 in english GCSE and B in english literature A-Level. The way she teaches has changed the ways I now look at a text - even if it’s the most mundane things such as reading a book, I have a completely different approach. Her approach to teaching is something that i have never experienced with anyone else, especially with an ordinary secondary school teacher. She understands my strengths and weaknesses and caters each approach so that it suitable to me. I always looked forward to her tutor sessions because not only did i grasp a better understanding of the texts i was learning but also a better understanding of my own learning methods.
