About Professora Núbia
I am a native Carioca and I have been teaching Brazilian Portuguese to foreigners since 2002. I studied Portuguese at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and I did my Post-graduate in Literature at the same University. I've given lessons to students from all over the world, and all age groups. After years of work, I've developed my own method of teaching Portuguese. Language is culture! And I specialize in the understanding of the social and historical contexts of Brazil and their social relations as a path to manage communication with Brazilians. Try one class ;-) !!!

I would give Nubia five stars! She is a very experienced and patient tutor. She also provides her own materials and gives cultural context which increases learning capacity. Nubia makes organizes her lessons in a way that is interactive and engaging. She is also willing to tailor lessons to the learner's interests. Nubia has a lot of expertise around accents and pronunciation, so if you are looking to improve your pronunciation she would be a great resource. Overall, I would definitely recommend her as a tutor!
