About Viviane
Olá! My name is Viviane Almeida, and I’m a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker with a passion for helping others learn with joy and confidence. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work, and my background gives me a unique understanding of people, culture, and the power of language to connect and transform lives. As someone who returned to school after 25 years and earned my degrees with honors — all in my second language — I know what it feels like to learn something new, step by step. That’s why my teaching is grounded in empathy, encouragement, and a belief that everyone can succeed with the right support. I bring professionalism, patience, and positive energy to every lesson. Whether you’re learning Portuguese for travel, work, family, or personal growth, I’ll meet you where you are and walk with you at your pace. As a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker with a Master’s in Social Work, I bring a deep understanding of language, culture, and people into every lesson. My approach is human-centered, playful, and adaptive — rooted in real communication and cultural connections.
Teaching Method & Techniques
I use a communicative and immersive approach, combining:

A Typical Lesson Plan
Each session (60 minutes) is personalized but may include:
1) Warm-up (5–10 mins) – Light conversation or review using a game or short dialogue
2) Main topic (20–30 mins) – Vocabulary + grammar lesson in real-life context
3) Practice activity (15–20 mins) – Speaking, listening, or writing exercise with feedback
4) Wrap-up (5 mins)—Review key points and mini-assignment for next time
* Depending on your comfort level, I can teach lessons in Portuguese only or in Portuguese with English explanations.
