About Giulia
I'm a qualified teacher (Teaching Portuguese as a Foreign Language). I am a native speaker and I have been teaching for 20 years and have students from all over the world.

I'm a fully qualified Portuguese language teacher with seventeen years’ experience. I taught all ages from 2 years old to adults, privately or in groups.
What do I teach?
I teach:
One-to-one classes for adults aged 18 plus.
All levels from Beginner to Advanced.
Business Portuguese (including e-mail and telephone Portuguese)
I'm also happy to help with presentations and documents for work and university.
Tutoring Approach:
• General training: I teach how to use Portuguese in everyday situations, like introducing yourself to someone; giving personal information; going to a restaurant; asking directions; making a reservation in a hotel; using public transport, etc.
• Business: My teaching method is based on a communicative approach, focusing on achieving fluency, improving reading and listening comprehension, and expanding vocabulary. I teach the use of Portuguese in a variety of business environments, based on key skills like presenting information, taking part in meetings and videoconferences, handling telephone calls, negotiating and writing concise business letters, e-mails or reports.
• E-learning: My e-learning method is specifically designed for adults who may have limited hours available, prefer the convenience of learning online and need to improve their Portuguese language skills quickly.
• Children and Teenagers: My lessons for children and teenagers are varied and enjoyable, with music, culture, and multimedia features to make the learning process very enjoyable and practical.
• Primary and Secondary Education, MYP (Middle Years Programme) and Diploma Curriculum at International Schools. I provide alphabetization courses and teach Portuguese as a mother tongue language at primary level. At a secondary level, I teach Portuguese Language and Literature according to the IB curriculum.

Why should you choose me?
Language is about telling people what you want to say. It isn't important for your Portuguese to be perfect. They only need to be able to understand you.
Private Portuguese classes are the best place to make mistakes. If you make mistakes in class then you can learn from them. This will make you more confident to meet your friends and co-workers outside the classroom.
I make classes really relaxed and fun with a strong focus on conversation skills. I can also help you learn new words and improve your listening and grammar skills.
I offer a free one hour introduction lesson on Skype. This is so that I can find your level and for us to get to know each other, which will make your first lesson more comfortable.
I want to help you with your Portuguese, whether you need to improve it for your job, exams, or just to learn the language to a high level for everyday life. I will identify your strengths and weaknesses, and ensure we focus on your needs.
