About Lauren
In 2015, I earned a distinction-grade diploma in art & design at Edinburgh College. I appeared as a contestant on Sky Arts' Portrait Artist of the Year 2014 and have had a self-portrait oil painting exhibited in the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition 2021. I tutor 4-14-year-olds in English and maths and mentor high-school students through an educational charity, so have lots of experience delivering fun and engaging sessions for young people, explaining concepts and methods, and creating a relaxed learning environment. In addition, I hold a 1st-class Bachelor's degree in English studies and distinction-grade Master's in creative writing from the University of Stirling.

Perfect! Amazing Teacher and artist
Perfect! Lauren is good with my son and he has learnt a lot about the techniques of drawing. He is also putting into practice the skills he has learnt so far which is great.

Perfect! My daughter was stuck on a piece for her N5 portfolio. Lauren was great, she gave practical advise on the steps to build up the piece whilst giving theory and most importantly giving my daughter confidence in what she was doing. Brilliant!

If I am informed of absence at least 24hrs in advance of a class, I am happy for it to be postponed or rescheduled. If less than 24hrs notice is given, no reimbursement or rescheduling option is available. In the event that you have booked a pack of sessions but find you will be unable to attend any of the sessions in the future, the value of all remaining sessions will be reimbursed to you.
