About Steve

I find that children make exceptional language students, as they think non-linearly and are not as concerned with grammar to start. Grammar will come more naturally as the comfort level of the language increases. Learning to talk around the vocabulary you DON'T know is a very effective way of practicing the target language.

About the lesson

Former U.S. Army interrogator, trained in French & Spanish by traditional public schooling & university, followed by world-wide travel, then trained in Russian by the Defense Language Institute for interrogation purposes, THEN trained in Serbo-Croatian and sent to Bosnia for 12 months, where the native speakers did not believe I was not a native speaker.

He is very knowledgeable about many subjects and is willing to find the answer to any question he doesn't already know. He is very patient and kind and clear when he instructs someone. He has been a valuable resource over the 17 years that we've been home schooling our children. He is flexible, reliable and punctual, as he values other people's time as well.
