The teaching approach I use is conversational with an attempt to raise engagement from the student and to find a level of understanding of where the pupil is. Once this rapport has been established, techniques will range from PowerPoint slides that can be downloaded, flash cards, website links to the most important news stories surrounding the area of interest and past exam questions. My qualifications are an A-Level in Politics along with a 2:1 degree in Politics from the University of Liverpool. These lessons are mainly for A-Level students though can be adapted for undergraduate students.
